The above listed assets are now available to the community.

Reason for Outage (RFO) Summary:  The Transport NOC reported that a suspected 
fiber cut in Folkston, GA was impacting unprotected services. Field Services were 
engaged, and were able to isolate the fault to Jacksonville, FL. Field Services near 
the failure site were engaged, and were able to conduct light measurements to 
isolate the failure. Upon arrival, Field Services confirmed the damage to both a 204 
count and a 96 count fiber caused by directional boring in the area of the cable. Due 
to the extent of the damage to the cable, and the conduit, a plan was formulated to 
install a temporary aerial span in efforts to expedite restoration. The aerial span was 
run, and spliced into place, which cleared all associated alarms and returned services 
to a stable state. A maintenance will be scheduled at a later date to make 
permanent repairs to the damaged cable. This service impact has concluded; 
however, there may be additional analysis and discovery that occurs as the incident 
is reviewed by NOC management. Any available updates will be relayed upon event 
ticket closure. If additional issues are experienced, please contact the Level 3 
Technical Service Center at 1-877-4LEVEL3.
